My paintings are about mood and color. Each one evolves in the moment taking on a life of its own. There is a push and pull of interlocking colorful shapes that come together to become a whole entity. I have long admired the works of Hans Hoffman, Franz Kline, Paul Klee and Mark Rothko. My paintings are created with a textured surface on canvas. Layers of paint are dragged across previous colors for depth and harmony.
