This piece is a one of a kind monoprint. On white Archival BFK Rives Printmaking Paper with uneven deckle edge on shorter sides to be displayed floating in a frame (currently this piece is unframed).
This piece is part of a "UFO" series of 3 prints. When I began working on this series I had worked out two backgrounds which contained the letters U, F and O and a color range of red, white and blue, which got me to the title of the series: UFO - Unknown French Object. Missing was the French Object. One day walking down the street I spotted a discarded photo poster of the construction process of the Eiffel Tower from empty lot to finished structure perched on a pile of trash. Just the right dimension for my piece. I took it home, traced over the image of the structure, enlarged it slightly in a copy machine and fashioned a paper cut-out of the tower with my xacto blade.
