This piece is in a limited edition of 300 prints.
It was created using a combination of drawing, painting, and computer manipulation. In other words, it only exists on the computer until it is printed. The work is an original creation, not a photographic reproduction of an original painting. I always look to the mountains around Tucson for inspiration and beauty. This series takes the foothills as its subject. The composition was inspired by the yin-yang sign and the sky by Egon Schiele. I often just create and come up with a title later. Rather than simply naming everything “Untitled”, I look at what I have created and choose the closest fitting description that does not suggest so much that the viewer is not allowed to come up with their own conclusions.
