You have captured an ocean on a dismal day. I love it. Keep up the great work.

Comments About This Piece

These last few months have been absolutely crazy! And, I mean that in the awesome sort of way. On August 11th of this year, I married my best friend and the love of my life! :-) Beyond that, I am smack dab in the middle of high school senior portrait season (my other job) so I have been going non-stop for quite a while! This night was my first chance to get out with my camera in quite a while. I had finished up with the last senior of the day and could tell from the office that the skies were setting up for a spectacular sunset. My wife was kind enough to let us push back dinner and I raced out to one of my favorite spots, Clearwater Beach, as quickly as I could. There was an inshore storm that was pushing out to the coast and I was nervous it would get there before the sunset was able to show but it ended up moving into places to give the perfect backdrop for one of Florida's famous fire sky nights. This is a one minute long exposure taken just after sunset.

Open Edition

Certain pieces of artwork on UGallery, mostly photography and printmaking, are labeled as either limited edition or open edition. Pieces that are in a limited edition are produced in a set limited quantity. Open edition artworks are not limited in quantity and can be reproduced indefinitely. In both cases, each piece in the edition is identical and is considered an original. Limited edition works are generally more valuable because of the limited number available. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
