This Bridge, located in the heart of Venice, Italy, has many stories to tell. The bridge is a
passover from the interrogation rooms in Dodges Palace (left) to the dungeons (right)
where many criminals gasped their last breaths. The bridge is infamously name “The
Bridge of Sighs” because on their way to the dungeons the convicted criminals would
look out the barred windows on the bridge and sigh as it would be the last time they
would ever see daylight.
