it's great to be finally getting settled in the pacific northwest and to have my latest work "Fiesta Wear" selected for sale on UGallery. I've just joined the Ridgefield Arts Association and am starting to immerse myself in the art community here, in Vancouver USA and Portland. Look for more new work to come soon.

i've been in a bit of a creative pause while i get ready to move in June to just north of Portland Oregon, on the Washington side of the Columbia River...it's going to be a wealth of new photographic subject matter that I can't wait to capture and share with UGallery...and there's a very vibrant art scene in the area so I'm sure I'll be inspired by other artists as well!

Great news...two more recent acknowledgements of my work...selection of my photo "Suzanne" for the "Dark" national juried show at ARC Gallery in San Francisco that opened yesterday 11/8 (online gallery selection)and the ArtWorks Downtown Marin County "Small Works" juried show selected two of my pieces, both 4" x 4" prints "Intention" and "Intrigue." What an honor on all accounts!

happy to say my piece "Tree" was accepted into my first NATIONAL juried show, "Fresh Art," sponsored by the Marin Society of Artists and now on display thru mid-October at their gallery in Larkspur/Kentfield north of SF.

there's a new group of photos just added to my gallery including works from Canada, Europe, South Africa and California's west coast...they represent a wide variety of subjects, colors and structure...I hope everyone enjoys the new works and I appreciate hearing from you with suggestions, comments and requests for what you'd like to see more of...

it's been great to see how much ugallery patrons enjoy my work and it's pleasantly surprising as to what people select for their collections. i continue to add more black & white work that seems to stand out well in the crowd of color images. look for more of that along with newer bodies of work in color soon.

Thanks so much for the compliment and I'm very glad you're enjoying the photo! Right now I'm traveling through Europe for 4 weeks finding some amazing new images to add to the portfolio. Have a great summer and thanks again for including my work in your collection.

This photo has been a great addition to the art in my living room. Being a "California girl" it takes me to the coast everytime I look at it!

Lots of activity on the horizon with another Art in the Square event on 5/29 & 5/30 at Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco, and other upcoming exhibits in and around the Bay Area.

The SF UGallery artist party at 111 Minna on Wednesday was terrific. It was great to see gallery folks Alex and Bailey and to meet their partner Stephen. UGallery ROCKS!

I'm getting ready for San Francisco's South of Market (SOMA)spring Open Studios. Both weekends are free and open to the public. It's all kicking off next Friday April 9 with a reception at our ARC Gallery & Studio at 1246 Folsom St. SF. My work will be featured with about 60 others in our downstairs gallery including a show on Saturday 4/10. Then on the night of 4/16, we host a reception with all ARC artist studios open to the public, followed by 2 full days on 4/17 & 4/18. Hope to see you there. Jack

Open Edition

Certain pieces of artwork on UGallery, mostly photography and printmaking, are labeled as either limited edition or open edition. Pieces that are in a limited edition are produced in a set limited quantity. Open edition artworks are not limited in quantity and can be reproduced indefinitely. In both cases, each piece in the edition is identical and is considered an original. Limited edition works are generally more valuable because of the limited number available. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
