Gerrad Holtz
Los Angeles, California

Gerrad Holtz first gained an interest in photography while studying at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. He finds the most inspiration while exploring — he simply takes his camera with him and keeps his eyes and mind open to possibilities. When it comes to his photographs, he encourages viewers to look closely; many of his works contain a lot of small details. Gerrad currently lives in California. Fun fact: he recently enrolled in magic classes at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles.

Artist and Customer Comments

This stuff is so cool, original and quite beautiful. I love the use of color, and how Gerrad's eye gives an entirely new dimension to each subject. I love the Infinite Lamp piece from the LACMA and the Queen Mary one is stunning.

Comments About This Piece

One of my very first attempts at the "tiny planet" technique of panoramic images, and the first that really showed me the potential of it for creating such unique pieces of art.

Open Edition

Certain pieces of artwork on UGallery, mostly photography and printmaking, are labeled as either limited edition or open edition. Pieces that are in a limited edition are produced in a set limited quantity. Open edition artworks are not limited in quantity and can be reproduced indefinitely. In both cases, each piece in the edition is identical and is considered an original. Limited edition works are generally more valuable because of the limited number available. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
