This medium-sized figurative oil painting on canvas is one of the most recent works from my series, Overview. I captured the reference for this piece from my balcony at the Hotel Lutetia on St. Germain in Paris. Then, I painted the foreshortened overhead figure with my "Pixel Expressionism" brush strokes, describing the movement of the figure in the digital video reference with thick, Expressionist marks. This original painting has been archivally-prepared on extra deep (1.5 inch) museum wrap stretched canvas with the edges finished, no need for framing.
