notes:

This is a self portrait. Why am I a martyr? Because I rescue dogs, fall in love with them and then take pain of ultimate grief when they pass away. Some people who've experienced the pain of losing a dog will say to themselves, "I cannot get another dog because the pain of losing my first one was too much to bear." But for me, I am willing to take that pain again and again so that the dogs I rescue can know love and comfort instead of the cold, lonely confines of a kill shelter. The execution is the exact opposite of the underlying sadness. The bright, positive colors and white space were chosen deliberately to enhance any modern dwelling.
