Thanks for the comment! Yes, I am based in Urbana. I get my inspiration from many places, including places I have visited in Illinois and around the country. I take photos whenever I visit somewhere new and then use the photos as models for many of my paintings.

I love the way your did the colors on the tree. Its a very inviting scene. So you do your work out of Urbana? Im about two hours away in Terre Haute.Is that where you get your inspiration for painting?
