Hello all of you art lovers out there. I am so excited to become part of the "UGallery" family of artists and cannot wait to have dialogue with those of you who "connect" with my paintings and want to share your comments with me. I hope to be posting more paintings to my "wall space" so you will have more opportunity to know me better and see what is in my heart. I am mostly a figure painter, but unfortunately, at the moment, most of work is tied up in an exhibit until the end of April. I don't mean to ramble on, but one of the things I like most about "UGallery" is the opportunity to correspond directly with you. My art is so personal and I have a story about each painting, because every one is painted from my own experiences. I absolutely love talking about them and sharing the inspiration behind each one. OIL PAINTING
Oil paint is a type of slow-drying paint that consists of particles of pigment suspended in a drying oil, commonly linseed oil. The viscosity of the paint is often modified by a solvent such as turpentine or white spirit, and varnish may be added to increase the glossiness of the dried film. One of my favorite things to do is eat, another is to do paintings related to people at restaurants or in the act of serving/preparing food. When I saw these two chefs interacting, I imagined one saying to the other, "Not too Much." I decided to keep the brushwork loose to create a feeling of movement.
