Since graduating from SUNY Albany with my MFA in Painting, I have relocated to Washinton DC. I will be moving into a new studio shortly, at DC Arts Studios (http://dcartsstudios.wordpress.com/about/). I am excited to begin making new, and different work, while engaging with a new community of artists.

OIL PAINTING
Oil paint is a type of slow-drying paint that consists of particles of pigment suspended in a drying oil, commonly linseed oil. The viscosity of the paint is often modified by a solvent such as turpentine or white spirit, and varnish may be added to increase the glossiness of the dried film. STRETCHED CANVAS
Canvas is a heavy-duty fabric used as a painting surface. When a canvas artwork is labeled stretched, it means the canvas has been wrapped around a wooden frame (the ''stretcher''). Stretched canvases typically do not require framing.
