Comments About This Piece

This mixed media piece was created with acrylic paint, inks, and collage. I painted the collaged papers first with acrylic paint, and fixed them on the canvas with acrylic glue. The different layers refer to all the experiences we accumulate during a lifetime. This piece is on gallery wrapped linen with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Mixed media artwork

Mixed media refers to an artwork that is created using several different types of traditional art media, for example oil paint, ink and collage. The specific media used for each mixed media piece on UGallery is listed in the notes section.

Stretched linen

Linen fabric is the preferred surface for paintings. Linen is favored over cotton for its strength, durability and archival integrity. Linen is a rare surface in the United States because of its high cost. When a linen artwork is labeled stretched, it means the linen has been wrapped around a wooden frame (the ''stretcher''). Stretched linen artwork typically does not require framing.

One-of-a-kind

A one-of-a-kind artwork is a unique piece handmade by the artist. There is only one in existence. The work may be part of a series, however, the piece itself is unlike any other. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
