The new series is about erasure or deconstruction of my old paintings. Combining different smaller paintings to create a new whole. I wish I could also do it with the wood paintings I have but these are all canvas. Its good to see the paint in a different way. I have also started some abstract work and am working on talisman for art. I am excited to have a new solo show coming up in October featuring paintings of my late dog JB- RIP March 19 2012. In Stone Ridge I will be showing framed paintings of JB who inspired so much of my messydog work. I will also be showing new collage/erasure work on the other wall of the gallery.
With these new pieces I am exploring the basic joy of abstract expressionism starting with the basic browns and green. Here the painting will offer simplicity to the viewer. A new sense of what it is or represents will occur.
Lovely! Light & Airy Colors! This would look awesome in a beach home! (I still luv, luv, luv my Messy Dog paintings!)My Best to you! :)
These new paintings are very light. Using mixed media I am exploring texture, color and shapes.
I will be on vacation May 6 through May 23. New artwork will be going up in June.

hello myrna...I am thinking of buying one of your peices...how do i frame/display work done on un-streched canvas?
Love these dogs! I wonder, we have had three dogs, two beautiful german shepherds, and now a very cute who knows what mutt. I have been browsing this site looking for a grouping to go over a bed, colorful, bright. Can you let me know prices for a commissioned group of three from photos?
Orange, blue pigment in plaster based Gesso give this piece an otherworldly feeling. It has texture which adds to the art. The canvas is thickly folded over the sides.
