DL Watson
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

DL Watson creates mostly abstract works that experiment with color and movement. She spends time in both Florida and Oregon and finds inspiration in the repetitive patterns of nature. Fun fact: her “Mariposa” series was chosen by designer Tabitha Simmons to be used in several shoe designs that were shown at New York Fashion Week.

Your work is fabulous. In my opinion, no other Ugallery abstract works compare. {Incidentally, Jackson Pollock is my favorite paint artist. But you are in the race.}

Comments About This Piece

This piece was created using my own unique process.  I employ opposing mediums, including metallics, and then apply heat to stabilize and cure.  I finish by adding intensity through texture.

This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished black edges. It comes ready to hang.

Mixed media artwork

Mixed media refers to an artwork that is created using several different types of traditional art media, for example oil paint, ink and collage. The specific media used for each mixed media piece on UGallery is listed in the notes section.

Stretched canvas

Canvas is a heavy-duty fabric used as a painting surface. When a canvas artwork is labeled stretched, it means the canvas has been wrapped around a wooden frame (the ''stretcher''). Stretched canvases typically do not require framing.

One-of-a-kind

A one-of-a-kind artwork is a unique piece handmade by the artist. There is only one in existence. The work may be part of a series, however, the piece itself is unlike any other. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
