I'm excited to join UGallery and post my work for display! I've been developing these techniques for a few years, and learning new things about the the materials I work with after every piece. Although I graduated from RISD in the Department of Architecture, much of my coursework was focused on Fine Art with an emphasis on material experimentation and building abstract compositions. For me, these paintings deal with issues of materiality and texture.
A combination of drip and spray painting techniques. This particular work is painted directly onto a found piece of aluminum, which is backed by 2" thick cork. This piece is rustoleum and acetone on composite board.
