Comments About This Piece
This painting with sculptural elements is a part of my "Techno Anatomy" series. In this series I continue my ethical and aesthetic research on the intrinsic connection between human and technology, looking for similarities and derivations, which can be found normally in parent to child comparisons. Metaphorical genealogical continuity also exists in the phenomenon where the artist subconsciously creates something similar to himself and often doesn't see it and denies the resemblance. The "Techno Anatomy" series aims to find and point out the evidence of human-to-machine organic relations.
The "Cancerous Board" painting introduces organic motifs into the artwork and works very well for the metaphor of human disease as an issue of a broken mechanism.
This piece was made with acrylics, spray paint, raw canvas, cement, natural rust, polyurethane foam, household paint, and permanent marker on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.
Mixed media artwork
Mixed media refers to an artwork that is created using several different types of traditional art media, for example oil paint, ink and collage. The specific media used for each mixed media piece on UGallery is listed in the notes section.
Canvas is a heavy-duty fabric used as a painting surface. When a canvas artwork is labeled stretched, it means the canvas has been wrapped around a wooden frame (the ''stretcher''). Stretched canvases typically do not require framing.
A one-of-a-kind artwork is a unique piece handmade by the artist. There is only one in existence. The work may be part of a series, however, the piece itself is unlike any other. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
