Comments About This Piece

In these newer works I have begun thinking of myself as a poet. I have no rules as a poet and I think this methodology serves me in my practice. I am free to experiment and find new language. These works represent an experimental attitude towards making. They vary in theme from piece to piece and are all the byproduct of giving myself a slightly different technical problem to work through in order to grow.

For this work I built a one of a kind sound to image synthesizer. The image was generated using image processing synthsizers that are sound sensitive—meaning: sound effects the way the image looks. I spoke the phrase "An idiot fell off a balcony" into the machine and it produced this image. I then printed it onto perforated vinyl and attached it to painted steel bars.

The work comes with a template and is very easy to hang.

Mixed media artwork

Mixed media refers to an artwork that is created using several different types of traditional art media, for example oil paint, ink and collage. The specific media used for each mixed media piece on UGallery is listed in the notes section.

A one-of-a-kind artwork is a unique piece handmade by the artist. There is only one in existence. The work may be part of a series, however, the piece itself is unlike any other. This piece is available exclusively at UGallery.
