Lana - "Facing Change" is more gorgeous than I could have expected. I take it off the wall often to just feel it in my hands...(creepy I know). You'll have to come by for an orange juice and a viewing sometime soon!

This is the second painting by Lana Williams that I have purchased, and I am so happy with the work. She is amazing with color and texture. The painting brightens our home at all times of the day. We have had a number of guests since the piece arrived, and it is everyone's instant favorite. Thank you Lana!

I love your work, Lana. It was first brought to my attention via a blog I visit (habituallychic) and you "Canal in Venice" really moved me. I've sent an enquiry to purchase some of your work to the UGallery sales email. Hopefully dispatch to Australia can be arranged. Congratulations and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Thanks for sharing it. Regards, Amber.

'Give and Not Take' was painted near the end of my stay in Italy, reflecting on the past months I spent living in Florence. I explored ways of applying paint, symbolic of my adventure abroad. The colors were influence by my visual surroundings. The school courtyard had a pomegranate tree which fruit's juice inspired the red in the painting. The old buildings and green countryside inspired the other colors.

Ms. Williams, wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the painting "Give and not Take?" Any particular inspiration behind the painting or specific place in Italy?

Thank you so much! I am glad you love your painting! The great thing about that piece is whether your house is more traditional or contemporary, either style of frame would work. If it is more traditional, I might pick a chunky gold frame that brings out the yellow leaves, or if it is contemporary, a cool black frame that brings all of the attention to the painting.
I am actually studying abroad in Florence, and I just arrived a few days ago! I am checking to see if I can add artwork while I am here, but if not, I am sure I will have a lot of wonderful paintings to post right around Christmas time!
Thank you to everyone who has taken interest in my artwork and is helping to support a young artist's dream!

Thanks! I do have an orchid painting if it is florals you like, but the scale is much smaller. I will try and add it to the website though.
This time of year I love to paint all the flowers in bloom. Keep a look out for some to come
