Knowing which photos to delete is a strong statement, as you said in the Artist in Focus article, and in tern leads directly to the experimenting you recommend. The moment you accept that not every work will turn out, you allow yourself more freedom. This of course applies to all mediums. Your photos have excellent composition, colour, and as you pointed out, echo paintings. You have visually blurred different media.
