I have been working with photography, commercially and as an artist, since 1980. My present work in photography reflects the relationship between an individual and society or reality. Reality is shown through the use of steel. Individuality is shown through the use of living environmental objects and people. I work in the studio with models and steel. I find these wonderful models in the gym, on the street, and among my friends. It's hard work for both of us, but shooting is a lot of fun. Thankfully, the models seem to always enjoy the resulting images. I also take my steel pieces out among nature and focus on the living beauty against the hard but rhythmic shape of the bent steel.
Theme or Raison D'Etre: "EDGE: Where an individual's soft essence meets life's hard reality."
