I made this piece with a masking technique I created while studying art in Italy. The work is made of ink and watercolor. I start by painting ink on watercolor and allowing them to bleed together in order to create organic transitions. I let the colors dry and apply resist to the places I want to highlight. I then apply a wash of color to the painting. After it dries, I selectively peel off and fill the resist areas.
