I paint impressionist realism in oils for fun and the entertainment of others. I am inspired the many things I see in my area and on my travels. I am inspired by Quang Ho, Jim Richards, Bill Davidson , Nancy Franke, Jeffery Watts, Barbara Flowers, and many more. I am a former commercial artist and started painting in 2012 when I retired. It remains fun so I do it a lot. I have been to 30 workshops with some of the best artists in the country. I have taken lessons from the best 4 artists in Atlanta. I taught Illustration at an art college, Center for Creative Studies, for 15 years. I am more excited about fine art. As much fun as I had in commercial art pleasing many national clients, it is more fun painting what I want. I love many subjects and always look for great light and atmosphere.
