What are the requirements to exhibit my artwork at Ugallery?
Ugallery invites all emerging artists living in the United States to apply. You do not need any previous gallery experience. In fact, we are excited to offer artists their first gallery exposure. If you live outside of the United States, we would be happy to add you to our address book and keep you updated. We plan to expand to many more countries soon. Please email your contact information to artist@ugallery.com.
-
How do I exhibit my artwork at Ugallery?
Applying for Ugallery representation is a simple process. Click on the Artist Login link in the top right hand corner of the page and complete the three-step application. You will be asked to complete a profile page, answer questions for an artist statement, and upload three digital images of your art. Upon receiving your application, our board of curators will review your work and we will notify you within 48 hours with a decision.
-
Does it cost money to exhibit my work for sale at Ugallery?
No. Ugallery covers the cost of displaying your art. It is our goal to provide promising emerging artists a platform on which to build their art careers.
-
Is there a commission on the sale of my artwork?
It is free to exhibit your artwork at Ugallery. We receive a commission on the sale of each piece of art. The commission is put into our PR campaign and promotional activities such as art fairs and print and online advertising. This is an essential part of promoting you.
-
How is my art priced?
Artwork is priced using your input and the expertise of Ugallery’s curators. When you submit digital images of your work, you will be asked to enter desired prices for each piece. That price is then compared to Ugallery’s curator appraisal. We take pride in our ability to fairly and accurately price your art.
-
What if my suggested price does not match Ugallery’s price appraisal?
Ugallery will work with you to achieve the most accurate price for your art. We exhibit artwork at prices that satisfy your needs and those of our consumer. Art that is priced too high or too low does not sell well. Our curators analyze previous sales and customer data to determine prices that please you and generate sales. In the event that your suggested price differs greatly from the Ugallery price, we will contact you by email or telephone.
-
How do I know when my artwork is sold? What do I do once it is sold?
Once your art is sold, you will receive an email and/or telephone call notifying you of the sale and the order number. Simply take the sold piece of art and the order number to a designated UPS Store within 48 hours. That is all you have to do! You do not have to package the art or pay for shipping.
-
What type of artwork do you exhibit?
Ugallery accepts applications for all two-dimensional and three-dimensional mediums.
-
How do I submit more art if I am already exhibiting my work at Ugallery?
You can upload your artwork through your artist profile page using a quality JPEG or PDF file. The image must be in focus, true to the color of the art, and at least 72dpi (770 pixels).
-
How are you marketing my artwork?
Ugallery is committed to your art career. The commission we earn is put into PR and marketing campaigns, and promotional materials. We market your work at art fairs, special exhibitions, and through print and online advertising. Ugallery gets your name and your artwork exposed to the global art market.
-
Should I sign each piece in a particular location?
All artwork should be signed in a location that will be visible once the piece is matted and framed.
-
May I place a link on my Ugallery portfolio page to my personal website?
Currently, there is no option to link your personal website to Ugallery.

Yes. Each copy should be signed in a location that will be visible once the piece is matted and framed.
-
If I exhibit my work at Ugallery, may I seek other gallery representation?
Ugallery has the exclusive right to the artwork displayed on the website. This prevents the risk of selling the same piece of art to two different parties. However, we encourage you to pursue physical gallery representation while exhibiting on our site. This increases the exposure of your work as well as of our gallery.
-
What happens if a piece of art is damaged while it is currently being exhibited at Ugallery?
Contact us immediately at (480) 626-8219 and/or customerservice@ugallery.com so that we can perform the necessary actions to protect your patrons. If there is a pattern of damaged artwork, your Ugallery representation may be subject to termination.
-
How do I get paid once my art is sold?
We will mail you a check for the sale of your artwork. Checks are mailed on Fridays. We wait eight to 14 days after the customer receives the artwork to send payment. This is because we offer a seven-day money back guarantee and we wait seven days to make sure that they are not going to return it. You can roughly figure out when we will mail your check by using the tracking number that the UPS Store gives you to see when the piece is delivered to the customer.
-
What happens if I sell a piece of art independently that I currently have exhibited at Ugallery?
You will be in breach of contract and your affiliation with Ugallery will be terminated immediately. This action is potentially damaging to your reputation and to Ugallery.com. Our ability to successfully promote emerging artists relies heavily on your integrity. Your patrons trust you; do not disappoint them.
