| What if you could take a snapshot of that which is quivering without stopping its movement? There can be reward in romancing that which is knowingly fleeting. My paintings attempt to cherish frivolousness and savor lustful whims. They exist as celebrations of the inability to hold still. I am exploring what it can mean to give into the desire to be loose, and all that that implies. The clumsiness of sexuality is not a tragedy, just as seriousness is not a virtue. The truth of human experience is a nonsensical grouping of parts that often eludes control and reason. The attraction of absurdity and ridiculousness can only be fully appreciated when inhibitions are shed and incoherence is embraced.
