Thank you Karen. My pieces can have as many as 60-70 layers of color or acrylic medium which is what gives them the depth.

I am thrilled to have an original work of art for my home. For me the one word that describes this piece is luminescent. The pigments give off so much light. I can see depth in the layers of paint. The gorgeous colors really do shift depending on which angle one views the work. I needed something light and colorful for a special place in my home and this painting livens the space up.

As the light continues to shift with the change of seasons, I've become very interested in attempting to capture this in paint. To that effect, I've used interference paints which contain minute particles of mica. These reflective properties allow the painting to change depending on the point-of-view as well as changing light conditions. Light transforms everything it touches...
