Carolyn Schlam

This print is one of those that looks great on the website, but infinitely better in person. The color and texture make this one of the most eye-catching prints I own-- the sunflowers jump off of the page. Another reason I enjoy this print it because, although the sunflowers are certainly an uplifting and positive image, they are also a bit moody-- I like that it's more complex than the standard still life of a couple of flowers. The artist's work is lovely and thoughtful, and I also must give props to UGallery for producing a very nice print.

Welcome Viewers. I am happy to be joining UGallery and welcome your feedback on my work. My next major gallery show will take place at the Cameron Gallery in Dallas, Texas opening May 21. The show is entitled "Full Exposure: The Heart of the Feminine Oil Ink Glass by Carolyn Schlam" and will features visions of women in paintings, drawings and work in glass and ceramic. You will find some interesting cross-media represented too like reverse painted, stained, fused and painted glass coupled with metal, ceramic and found objects.
