I was born and raised in Boston. I have an MBA from Dartmouth, and was an Account Executive for the Leo Burnett Ad Agency in Chicago. I was then the Director of Retail Marketing and Advertising for Polo Ralph Lauren in New York City for several years, but moved to Nashville to write country music. I was fortunate-enough to have had a bunch of songs recorded, but I stopped writing the moment I started painting. My art is now available in several galleries around the country, has decorated the sets of a number of TV shows, graces the walls of several major hospitals, and I have a weekly cartoon in the Gannett publication 12th & Broad. I'm also freakin' excited that one of the creators of the Simpsons -- and the director of Bridge to Terabithia and Rugrats -- bought eight of my paintings!!! I'm drawn to paintings that have an inherent narrative, which could be a result of my advertising background. It manifests itself in the images and titles of a great many of the paintings. I also believe that there's no such thing as only one way of looking at something, which may be why I often paint repeated images; they're all slight variations of the same object.
