Dear R.Brant, I was not planning to make a giclee print of "The Lewis & Clark Trail" 20.5 x 0.5" But if you are interested, please let me know. Happy Holidays, Sidonie.
Ms. Caron, what is the name of the piece at Meriwether's? I know it's not a print now, but I want to find a print when one is made eventually -- I hope. Thank you so much.
Spent last Saturday Dec. 8th as part of a group of artists making monoprints for a fundraiser for PICA (Portland Institute for Contemporary Art). It was a lot of fun although, I have not done printmaking since my art school days in London, and that was more years ago than I care to remember.
Thank you for the kind words about my painting at Meriwethers, I do like that piece myself. I do not normally make prints of my work, although I have a couple of giclees available, one called "A City of Bridges" and the other "Hawthorne Bridge" which original was used as the cover of the 2010 calendar celebrating the bicentennial of that bridge.
Thank you for the compliment. So sorry about my delayed reply to you, I've been swamped lately as I am in several shows concurrently. I do believe there are prints of my work in Canada, it may take a little research on your part to find the print companies dealing with them.
I was just at Meriwether's last week and fell in love with the colors and hidden figures in the landscape you did for them. Is it possible to get a print of this piece? In my brief time there that afternoon, it defined the palette for my new home!
Lovely work. Want to know about your work and where it is available in Canada.
Just spent a day outside the Portland Art Museum participating in a Plein Air painting session which was fun because the heatwave we've experienced here abated just in time. As I used to say in my earlier years painting the old houses in Portland only "Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid day sun....." The next show that I will be part of is a juried exhibit entitled Industry & Art: Celebrating the Worker , which will take place 9/19/12 at Vigor Industries on Swan Island, this is a ship, barge and rail car building enterprise.
Thank you so much for your kind comments they are much appreciated. Cordially, Sidonie.
I love the way you blend bright and beautiful colors, and the way these paintings evoke emotion in me and joy. I also love the bridges and the detail that it takes to make them jump off the canvas as they do is just extraordinary. Your gift is extraordinary.
This is a winter view from where I live. It changes constantly depending on season, time of day, general atmospherics and therefore always inspirational.
