Toni Silber-Delerive uses her experience as a graphic designer to create her paintings. She captures birds-eye vantage points of suburban scenes from all over the world with her camera from high-rise buildings and commercial jets. With paints, she flattens the picture plane, reducing details to strong graphic images. The resulting scenes appear both familiar and distant at the same time.
