Lost Crossing

Barry, you have serious talent, sir. Do I detect Van Gogh's influence in your work? The flowing lines and swirling colors are why I ask. Also the strong use of blues. If my wife and I hadn't just purchased two paintings from a local gallery here near Washington DC we'd be buying this piece. Please keep painting.

notes: This painting was done on jute stretched over masonite board. I initially applied many coats of gesso to fill the fabric. I have been working with this rough surface and found it aids in the blending of colors. It also provides a totally non-reflective surface.
