This work is inspired by the idyllic forests of Disney classics such as "Sleeping Beauty". This forest is full of secrets and hidden layers, like old walls with generations of wallpaper. I first painted an entirely geometric mosaic landscape, that I then partially occluded the mosaic with yellows and greens. I wanted to create a sense that there are secrets and messages in the painting, if only we could understand the language.
