I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, where I lived my young, impressionable life being influenced by an array of colors and concepts. In 1989, my family decided to move to the United States. At an early age, I became mesmerized and intrigued by the arts. Since both of my parents are artists, they encouraged me to be colorful, and exposed me to creative pursuits. I have memories of drawing from as young as five years old, but not that of an ordinary child, rather that of a patient, determined artiste. Now, I use these early childhood memories to cast new perceptions on my artwork.
As I grew older, I began to expand my talent focusing on graphic design. I attended the School of Visual Arts where I received a BFA in Graphic Design. Currently, I work for Simon and Schuster designing book jackets. I also have a keen eye and distinctive hand for etchings. Whenever I am not working, I am taking courses to further my etching skills, which is my passion. I believe I have the gift to visualize a masterpiece before it comes out to play. Although I still have so much to learn, I feel that my hard work has allowed me to capture a talent above my years.
